An August 26, 2004, Zogby Poll in New York found that 49% of New York City Residents believe that
high officials within the U.S. government “knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around
September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act.” Nearly 30% of Republicans believe
there was tacit collusion, and over 38% of those who described themselves as “very conservative”
agreed that the Bush Administration could have prevented the 9/11 attacks but chose not to. Nearly
48% of self-identified Evangelical Christians also shared this belief. Fully 66% of New Yorkers called
for another full investigation of the “still unanswered questions” by either Congress or New York's
Attorney General. Most Evangelicals (60%) as well as a majority (53%) of “very conservative” citizens
across New York State also want a new inquest into who within our government was responsible for
allowing the attacks to occur.
On October 27, 2004, coalition of 9/11 victim family members,
survivors and advocacy groups
delivered a formal complaint to New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer
requesting a new criminal investigation of the unsolved crimes of
September 11, 2001. Read the complaint,
